From First To Last battle back with their self-titled Suretone Records debut, a defiant statement of purpose which stands as the band’s most self-assured work to date. Guitarist Matt Good assumes vocal duties and his powerful delivery combines with the band’s melodic strength and musical muscle to drive songs like “Worlds Away” and “We All Turn Back To Dust.”
FROM FIRST TO LAST sees the band reaching for a warmer, more approachable sound without sacrificing its trademark blow-your-face-off dynamism. A maelstrom of metallic chords, stadium-sized hooks, and frenetic rhythms, all unified by Good’s power vocals and the band’s sense of purpose propels tracks such as “Two As One” and “I Once Was Lost But Now Am Profound”.
“We feel like this record is the most definitive one yet,” Good says, “as far as representing who we are, as a group of people.”
